Winners of the Didjshop's Monthly Prize - 2008

February 2008: Jerome Leroy from Brunoy in France

Here a few of Jerome's comments:
On the Didjshop: "Very good realisation. The only site that gives so much details on aboriginals and all that is connected with aboriginal people. Congrats"
On his meditation experience: "I like to use it a long time playing just the drone to get myself in another state of mind where everything becomes one where nothingness appears at the edge of the world making me feel my insignificance and my importance. All of this in hearing this so particular sound of the didj. It helps you put everything in perspective."
On what inspired him to learn the didj: "I simply like the sound of it and am very interested in music of any type. The didj has however something unique. It can only produce one tune (2 with the hoot) but you can do so many incredible things with it if you have only a didgeridoo, a mouth and some patience to learn!!!"
On Didjshop service: "The service is perfect, when you ask a question it is answered quickly. The workmanship is breathtaking."
On his Didjshop didj: "This didj is awesome, I never heard something like this, and still it's a low to medium concert class... It's beautiful, and simply there is nothing else to say for the price!"

Thanks, Jerome for your wonderful comments, congratulations on your win and we are looking forward to hearing from you to redeem the shopping voucher.

March 2008: Andre Onuki from Sao Paulo in Brazil

Here is Andre's comment on Didjshop.com: "Great site. Lots of info. Nice design too."
Andre said that the most common didj question he is asked is: "What is it?". We found his answer most interesting: "It is like a Australian "berrante" (a Brazilian didgeridoo like instrument)."
A Berrante is made from a 4-6'long ox horn (I never knew they grow that long!), but it is blown like a horn or a conch, not like a didj. However if one would cut it a foot or so shorter, it should be possible to play like a didj.
Congratulations, Andre to your win and thanks for your great comments, we are looking forward to hear from you.

April 2008: Gerard Kennedy from Saltsjobaden in Sweden

This is Gerard's comment on Didjshop.com:
"It is a wealth of information. A good source of information on not only the instrument itself but on the background of it as well."

Congratulations, Gerard and thanks for your kind comment.

May 2008: Barney Coffman from Fresno, USA

Here is Barney's questionnaire comment on Didjshop.com:
"When I found it I instantly realized that it was the most informative. The prices seemed reasonable to a bit higher than one of the other sites. But the information was better."
As many of our customers testify, Didjshop.com has not just the best information, but also the best in sound quality and workmanship. While our prices might be higher than some competitors, most of those sell either didgeriduds, fakes, or poor quality didjes, often from dubious sources.
And Barney's own feedback after receiving a Didjshop.com didj confirms this:
"The ah906 seems to have a better resonance than the other didj [which Barney had bought elsewhere]. The workmanship is better. After I bought my other didj, I stripped off the finish and have been refinishing it by sanding it down so that it is a little smoother. That didj is also heavier and longer. Plus I am not sure what type of tree it is."
Thank you Barney for all of your kind comments and we look forward to your redemption of the won shopping voucher, maybe to get a free 'How to play' DVD.

June 2008: Larry Reed from Evans in USA

Larry got his winning ticket when he filled out our 2008 questionnaire entry where he said this about Didjshop.com:
"Its very fun and interesting. Lots of great info. I especially like the healing and meditation areas and would love to experiment with these techniques."
Congratulations on your win and thanks for your comment, Larry. We hope you will take the opportunity to experiment with the meditative didj playing by joining the next Worldwide Didgeridoo Meditation.

July 2008: Andrew Blasy from Rapid City, USA

Andrew made this comment on Didjshop.com: "Blessed Site full of Insight and Way of Life", thanks for the praise, Andrew.
When asked what inspired him to learn, he answered: "Healing-Tribal Sounds and the first time I saw Xavier Rudd live"
Xavier has inspired many people with his didj playing and he is a wonderful didgeridoo ambassador. If you like to be inspired by him, please check out our events calendar to find out where his next concerts are happening.

August 2008: Jans Flemming from Roende, Denmark

Jans bought two didgeridoos from us, but his winning ticket came from his questionnaire entry.
Congratulations, Jans and we are looking forward to hear from you when you redeem your Didjshop shopping voucher.
Jans was inspired to learn playing the didj when: "Many years ago I read about aboriginal culture and the didgeridoo. so one day i saw a man playing, and then i just had to get one my self." Most  people are  inspired to learn this ancient instrument when they hear someone else play, so please play to other people whenever you can and a wonderful opportunity to do this is the regular worldwide didgeridoo meditations.
Jans said this about Didjshop.com: "What can I say: this is the place to hang out if you are into didgeridoo's or just want to learn. No need to look any further on the internet."
We like to thank Jans for his kind comments and also for telling over twenty of his friends about Didjshop.com, it is very much appreciated as we rather spend money on better workmanship and quality then advertising, and we depend entirely on word of mouth advertising.

September 2008: Massimiliano Sassoli de Bianchi from Ciona-Carona, Switzerland

Congratulations, Massimiliano and thank you for having bought five didjes from us over the years. Massimiliano's winning ticket came from a didgeridoo he bought earlier this year. Since Massimiliano has not yet filled out our 2008 survey, here his comments after buying one of those didjes:
About the service he received from Didjshop.com: "The service is very efficient. The workmanship is accurate and professional."
About the didj he bought from us: "This is the best didje I have played so far. It is simply perfect in all its aspects."
Thank you Massimiliano for your kind words and we are looking forward to hear from you when you redeem this shopping voucher.

October 2008: Guenter Keusen from Stuttgart, Germany

Congratulations Guenter, your winning ticket was among those allocated for your second didj purchase from Didjshop.com earlier this year.

Guenter rated our service as ten out of ten, commenting this: "Great and professional service. Very friendly. Short e-mail response times."
He rated the sound quality of his first didj as much better then expected and gave this feedback on Didjshop.com: "Good sound examples and quality rating. A pleasure to stroll through the pages."

Thanks Guenter for your positive feedback and we are looking forward to hear from you when you redeem your shopping voucher.
